This is a late eighteenth century tip table probably made about 1790. The top and bottom cleats are made of highly figured tiger strip maple with one of the top boards being 21 1/2 inches wide. The 3 shaped legs and massive urn and pedestal shaft are of black cherry. A beautiful New England country piece of furniture. The brass catch latch is a replacement and the pivot block has been replaced. The width is 31 1/2 inches wide and it is 26 1/2 inches tall. # F 005
