Sheraton Tea Table

This is a Sheraton style tea table made about 1820. It has a cookie corner shaped top, and I think the wood is butternut. It has finely turned and reed carved legs of black cherry. The entire skirt is veneered with well done burl veneers. It is 36 inches wide, 30 1/2 inches tall and 17 1/4 inches deep when the top is closed. When the table is open it is 36 inches x 34 1/2 inches. There is a triangular repair in the top, next to the right hinge. This is probably a New England country made piece due to the native hardwoods used.  # F003
