Dutch Oil on Board Ships Painting

Description

This is a oil on board, painting of Dutch fishing ships. The sight lines are 9 inches wide and 11 1/4 inches tall. It is in an ornate plaster and wood frame. The painting is signed “H. Huijuenaar 53 ” and ” Voor mijn Vriend  A. V. d.Eerden. “. The artists business card is on the back and has a hand written note, “In memory of April 18th 1953 ” The painting is in very good condition and appears to have an old layer of varnish on it. There are a few small spots of missing paint at the very edge, of the painting, where the varnish had contact with the frame.  There are a few small spots of thin plaster loss on the outside edge of the frame.    # P002
